Cultural Event organized by Luso-Turca Association – Campo Pequeno – 23 May 2011

Ali Savut 22.05.2011
I am happy to be here, for the opening of this cultural event where you can see Turkish, Portuguese and other handicrafts.

You can also admire authentic folkloric dances performed by dancers who came all the way from Turkey.

We think these kind of activities are important because they promote friendship between peoples.

They also promote a better knowledge and understanding of other cultures.

They encourage us to travel to discover new horizons. They are part of the cultural life and dynamism of the beautiful city of Lisbon.

I would like to thank Ambassadors of Japan and Hungary for attending this activity.

I would also like to express my deep appreciation to the Municipality of Lisbon for their support. This organization would not be possible without their contribution.

I congratulate the Luso-Turca Association for organizing this cultural event.
