Press Release Regarding the Attacks against the Turkish Embassy in Moscow and other Missions in the RF
No: 297, 26 November 2015
We sadly observe that Turkish diplomatic missions and businesses in the Russian Federation are recently exposed to physical attacks under the guise of demonstrations. When the demonstrations began, all Turkish missions accredited in the Russian Federation established contact with the relevant Russian authorities and requested them to urgently take additional security measures. In fact, the host country is legally obliged to ensure the security of foreign missions under all circumstances pursuant to international law.
The uneasiness we are feeling due to this unacceptable situation was brought to the attention of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Ankara who was summoned to the Ministry.
