Press Release Regarding the Acts of Violence in Central African Republic

Republic Of Türkiye Ministry Of Foreign Affairs 01.10.2015

No: 266, 01 October 2015

We are following with concern the ongoing acts of violence since Saturday, 26th September, at Bangui, the capital city of the Central African Republic.

We are worried that these acts of violence may rekindle the domestic confrontations bearing religious overtones, which had broken out in the country in 2013 resulting in numerous deaths and displacement of many others. We therefore call on all parties to act with restraint and prudence.

On this occasion, we reiterate once again our readiness to contribute to all efforts for the democratic transformation of our friend the Central African Republic and the re-establishment of peace and stability in the country.
