We welcome the comprehensive agreement reached today between the Iraqi Central Government and KRG on several important issues, first and foremost the crude oil export and revenue sharing, which had been dragged out for years in Iraq.

We believe that this compromise is of great importance for the security of the country and the prosperity of the Iraqi people, the elimination of the problems between KRG and Baghdad, and the development of the country's energy sector. We assess this compromise as a positive development with respect to international energy security as well as our country's energy cooperation with Iraq.
