We strongly condemn the air strikes carried out on the Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli on 24 and 25 November 2014. These attacks are further aggravating existing problems and the conflict situation in Libya, and also hampers efforts towards the settlement of the crisis through peaceful ways.

The crisis in Libya can only be settled through the cessation of foreign interventions, ensuring a ceasefire and the establishment of an inclusive political dialogue. With this understanding, we call upon all in the country to support the efforts of the United Nations to establish national dialogue between the parties.
