Press Release Regarding the Terrorist Attacks Targeting a Mosque in Nigeria

We have learned with sorrow that more than 100 people lost their lives and many people were injured yesterday as a result of the explosions and the firings upon the congregation during the Friday prayersin the Central Mosque in Kano Province. Attacks on places of worship cannot be accepted in any way. We strongly condemn this heinous terrorist attack.
We convey our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this attack, to the friendly and brotherly government and people of Nigeria, and wish speedy recovery to the injured.We reiterate once again that Turkey will continue to stand by the Nigerian government and its people in this difficult process in cooperation with the international community.
