“Agreement between Turkey and Portugal on the Suppression of Visas for Holders of Service and Special Passports” is envisaged to enter into force on 30 March 2011. From this date, the citizens of Portugal holding a valid special passport may transit, enter and stay in Turkey without a visa for a maximum period of 90 days during any six months from the date of first entry. Upon this date, the citizens of Turkey holding a valid special or service passport may transit, enter and stay in Portugal for a maximum period of 90 days during any six month period from the date of first entry at the external border of Schengen Area.
